03 Dec Speech at the UNICEF Global Forum on AI for Children
On 1 December 2021, I had the honor to speak at the UNICEF Global Forum on AI for Children, which was organized together with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
In my keynote speech, I focused on how we owe it to our children to give them equal chances, so that they can enjoy the benefits of artificial intelligence. At the same time, we need to protect children from the potential harms of the digital world and AI. This requires political action: we need to create the needed regulatory frameworks which both empower and protect children in the future.
After my keynote, I discussed the future trends in AI and how they can affect children with Alisha Arora, who is a UNICEF Youth Ambassador and a mental health activist. Thank you Alisha for this great discussion!
